About Lead Times and Deadlines

Sometimes we get asked:

Can we get our project done ASAP, like in 2 or 3 weeks?

Even if a client makes a super quick decision this will likely not happen. Here’s why.

• Say, client immediately gives a go-ahead after receiving our rough quote. We then will issue our our formal quote usually within 2 days

• Client approval and signing as well as processing of down payment will at a minimum take 2 days

• We promise to deliver shop drawings within 5 working days of processed down payment. If we can, it will take at a minimum 3 days

• Shipping the package with one of our carriers will take 3 to 5 days

Add up all that and at a minimum we are looking at 10 – 12 days just for processing paperwork and shipping which would leave approx. 1 week for production.

In short: the simple answer is No 

When planning or executing a project we recommend planning ahead and consider that it is not a good idea to wait until the last minute to order, even though our product will be one of the last to be installed.

On average and for the reasons mentioned above our lead time is between 8 and 12 weeks or even longer towards the end of the year.

Our general philosophy: We rather promise a longer time line and deliver early, than the other way around.
